Die GSB-Führung zur Gewalt gegen unsere asiatischen Mitbürger und zugehörige Ressourcen
März 24th, 2021
Dear GSB Community,
We have been reflecting on the violent attacks in Atlanta last week, which took the lives of eight people, including six women of Asian descent. We are horrified and saddened by this tragedy, and are alarmed at the increase in xenophobia since the beginning of the pandemic. We know that anti-Asian racism is not new, and we are aware that we need to do our part to fight against bias and injustice.
To our Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander students, staff, and families, we would like to express our support and stand with you not only in grief but also in action.
Here are some resources to help spark discussion with your child(ren) and center the experiences of Asian-Americans:

At school, we work to discuss the hard topics of bias, prejudice, and racism, and will do our best to support and promote a ‘brave space’ for our students. We are committed to constantly learning how to do this work well, and are grateful for your partnership in dispelling hate.
Our very best,
