Welcome and Willkommen to German School Brooklyn, a K-8 School. Grade 9 will launch in the fall of 2024!

GSB is dedicated to making bilingual education attainable to all Brooklyn families. We welcome German learners throughout the Lower School years, though we recommend starting our program in Kindergarten. GSB is pleased to be an IB candidate school, on the path to becoming an IB World School. This will enable our students to earn the highly regarded German International Baccalaureate Diploma (GIB) upon graduation from our Upper School. Our ninth graders will begin with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) framework, an inquiry based approach to learning. GSB is located in the heart of Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Welcome to 760 Sterling, our beautiful home in the heart of Brooklyn. Our new building offers a modern science lab, a gymnasium, an art/makerspace, a stage/performance space, and - by far the crowd favorite - a fully outfitted "soccer roof" and playspace. GSB is currently accepting applications to our language-immersion school (grades K-9).

You can apply to GSB for the 24/25 academic year right now! We offer language support for students in German and English. Student interviews are required for all who apply for grades K-9. Few spots are available for the current academic year, which will be filled on a rolling basis.

GSB is proud to be an IB candidate school. Our dual language immersion program will culminate with the internationally recognized bilingual International Baccalaureate diploma.
